| AICAV, the Italian Academy of High Flight Falconry Knights , is
a non profit sporting and cultural institution founded in 1986 and later ratified in Rome in 1993. The aims of
the institution are the following: to promote, increment and spread the art of falconry, the passion for riding
in its classical forms and the passion for hunting dogs in general. It promotes studies, initiatives and researches
for the conservation of both day-time and nocturnal birds, the breeding and the reproduction in captivity of rapacious
birds, horses and hunting dogs , the reintroduction in nature of rapacious birds, the recovery and the betterment
of the Italian equestrian heritage, the breeding and training of horses with particular reference to the Persian
, Neapolitan and Sicilian breeds, the breeding, the selection and the training with the study of the specific canine
breeds suitable to the art of falconry . Furthermore, it promotes studies together with artistic and cultural research
that are relevant to the art of falconry and equitation. The institution promotes the display of flight with shows
of the above mentioned animals. Finally, the institution also recovers biotypes of particular scientific interest
and their reconstruction where they are altered. |

| Hunting with horses |
| This is one of the primary activities promoted by the AICAV, bringing
together millenary arts and traditions. These events take place in prestablished places during the hunting season
in Italy and Europe according to the calendar of the Academy. |

| School of Falconry |
| In the spring and the Fall AICAV organizes collective and individual
lessons with reservations. The lessons last a total of six days divided either in three weekends or one full week.
There is a requirement of four participants, no more than six. The lessons, besides special requests, take place
in San Galgano in the province of Siena near the ancient abbey. |

| Breeding |
| In the center of Luriano, AICAV reproduces in captivity many rapacious
species and occupies itself actively with the breeding of horses. |

There are many special events organized by the AICAV, furthermore
events sponsored by the institution in the occasion of major manifestations and fairs are dedicated to hunting
and free time.
