| Frederic II and his masterpiece "De arte venandi cum avibus"
is the milestone of western falconry as the austere discipline reaches its maximum artistic and cultural apex with
this work. The influence of the enlightened ruler is visible in Italian culture, from Sicily to Siena; it manifests
itself in various ways. The art of falconry in fact embraces many aspects of life and how one thinks about creation. |

| The Buon Governo in Siena |
Between 1338 and 1340 Ambrogio Lorenzetti, precursor of renaissance
art who also later developed Giotto's and Simone Martini's style, concludes his most important cycles of frescoes
in the public palazzo of Siena. They represent the Allegories and the Effects of Good and Bad Government in the
cities and the countryside. The frescoes highlight the already affirmed art of falconry; placed in the Hall of
Nine these representations are inspired by the concept of the Aristotelian concept " common good". A
ruler wearing a typical white and black senese adobe personifies the concepts of justice good government. Prosperity
reigns in the frescoes depicting Siena, the land is fertile and rivers flow freely.
On the other hand, the effects of bad government are rendered visible; decay and tyranny are depicted as a horned
devil. Vices take the place of moral virtues and the land is rendered unlivable and totally impoverished. |

| The Orto de'Pecci |
| The Orto de' Pecci (the Pecci Garden)built between 1326 and 1420,
is the center of falconry shows and one of the most well preserved green spaces of medieval Siena. The concept
of urbanization envisioned green spaces in the city. Today, the walls enclose green areas between Porta Romana
and Porta Pipsini. |

The AICAV center of Geraci in Madonie, together with other Tuscan
ones, is the second
Italian center to propose shows and falconry schools.
Norman ruins constructed in 1072 on a preexisting Arab structure rise west of the town.
The gothic chapel of Saint Anna was added in the fourteenth century . The Chiesa Madre of the late medieval period
is worthy of notice with a sixteenth century Madonna and a majestic bell-tower .
